TAKING GORDON BROWN, TORTURER AND NUCLEAR MANIAC TO THE HUMAN RIGHTS WATCH.
Human Rights Watch works with the Government Equalities Office, the
British and Scottish governments, the Welsh National Assembly and
governments
throughout the world to promote Human Rights. Today we have appealed
directly to this organisation to arrest Gordon Brown and save the world
from extinction by this Nuclear Maniac
It says that in more than 80 countries their rigorous investigations and
tireless advocacy help bring about deep-rooted changes in policy, law and
public opinion that make a lasting difference in people’s lives. Well,
there is no question so important and urgent as the future of this planet so
we have addressed an email to Rebecca Schiller, the Associate Director of
HRW as follows: ‘Dear Friends will the HRW set in motion their procedure for
arresting Gordon Brown Torturer and Nuclear Maniac’. Signed George Barnsby .
I have not stressed it but the normal procedure will be expected. Namely
that correspondence be acknowledged, steps taken to remedy the matter
complained of and an answer given to the complainant.
ADDRESSING DIANE ABBOTT, MP
Equally succinct and to the point has been an email to Diane Abbott
which
reads, ‘ Please Diane, talk it over with all anti-war MPs of the left how
we can get rid of Brown and replace him with you The following Left MPs were
mentioned.Jeremy Corbett, Ann Cryer, John McDonnell, George Galloway, Lyn
Jones, Alan Simpson and our Wolverhampton MP, Ken Purchase.
A WOLVERHAMPTON COALITION COUNCIL ALL OPPOSED TO THE WAR IN IRAQ.
The local elections of 2008 gave Wolverhampton a unique opportunity of
forming a coalition council of Tories opposed to the war, Labour
councillors opposed to the war and 5 Lib-Dems who hold the balance of power
whose party had always opposed the war. If this had happened it would have
made Wolverhampton the most admired and famous city in Britain, but none of
the councillors replied to my email which is illegal since standing orders
in Wolverhampton lay down that all correspondence must be answered.
Worse than that, it was clear that if Gordon Brown repudiated his wars
such an enormous amount of money would be saved that the Economic Crisis
would disappear overnight and there would be enough left over to finance
adequately our social services.
But by not replying these same councillors found themselves accessories
to the war and involved in cuts in the City’s expenditure because of Brown’s
wars and so the unseemly and unnecessary position now exists where Tories
and
Labour fight among themselves to see who can make the most and the ‘best’
cuts. An absurd and unnecessary dilemma and all because they will not act
in accordance with the law.
ROUND AND ABOUT WOLVERHAMPTON .
I spoke yesterday of Joe and Margaret Davies coming trip to the Second
World War Holland and Germany battlefields and his friendship with people in
Nijmegen. He explains that his friendship is not only with those who
experienced the war but also with younger people he has met with as a
result of his trips with his fair and steam engine exploits, Nijmegen being
an important centre of Fair Ground and Steam Engine activity and Joe, of
course an important official of these activities.
Important developments in W’ton History and Heritage Society. seem to
include a break with meetings in the Methodist Church in the centre of the
town, which for me always held the problem of having to climb a steep set of
stairs to reach the toilet, but at least had the advantage of being in the
centre of town. But members apparently have opted for a new venue at
Tettenhall Wood Institute and also a merger with the local Civic Society.
The new name is likely to be The Wolverhampton Civic and Historical Society.
The Society’s website is famed as one of the largest in the West Midlands
thanks to Messrs. Frank Sharman and Bev Parker and the Society’s display
at the Wolverhampton Show shows how many people are interested in local
history. Members of the Committee have also had talks recently with Corine
Miller, head of Wolverhampton Arts and Museums on the subject of there being
A Local History Museum.
For full details of programmes visit the Website or telephone 01902
504741 or email whhs@cityofwolverhampton.com I am an honorary member of the
Committee and my ability to get to meetings is likely to continue to be
limited unless a notice brings some response which says, ‘If any members are
willing to share cars with other members to travel to the Institute please
contact us’.
i was just getting into my stride, but time has run out and I’ll sign
off with:
